Hi, I’m Ariane - fourteen years old, I am English and I have lived there for 12 years of my life - but at the moment I am living in Australia. Apart from getting over the intial jet lag, there have been many other things to get used to. Firstly the laid back nature of Australians. In England no one ever had enough time to leisurely stroll from place to place, to wait, what seems like five minutes, behind a green light before setting off - meaning only one car gets through the lights each time, to always have time to have a chat with everyone that walks by. Also the outdoor living. I never had the weekends by the beach - the afternoons by the pool and having barbeques as a casual evening meal. The list could go on and on - with the many differences I have had to adjust too - and do not get me wrong, I am not complaining one little bit. This life is new, fresh - so different, and I am enjoying every second - almost worrying when it is taken away from me and I go back to warm coats and hot waterbottles.
